" Smile and Learn with Fun"


The Foundation Block is where every child’s learning journey begins with joy, curiosity, and imagination.
  In Pre-KG, our tiny learners are introduced to the world of letters, numbers, colours, and shapes through fun activities, rhymes, roleplay etc. They learn to recognize capital and small letters, their sounds, and the objects that begin with each sound. Scribbling and pattern drawing help them develop fine motor skills and give wings to their creativity.
  In LKG, children enjoy listening to stories and rhymes with actions. They are introduced to two-letter words and begin writing letters and numbers neatly. Activities are designed to encourage imagination, expression, and confidence.

  In UKG, learning becomes more structured. Children learn three-letter words, form simple sentences, and start reading small texts. Numbers and basic mathematical concepts areintroduced through engaging, hands-on experiences such as number lines, pegs, and activity boards.
 
  As they move to Class I, children gain independence in reading and writing. They frame
sentences, comprehend short passages, and perform simple addition and subtraction. Their confidence grows as they begin to express ideas in their own words.

  By Class II, children explore grammar in an enjoyable way—learning to use is, am, are, has, have, was, were, and more. They read storybooks, write short paragraphs, and learn to work independently with joy and eagerness.
At every stage, we focus on building a strong foundation of skills, values, and confidence— preparing our little ones to step into the world of learning with a smile.
  Our goal is to nurture curiosity, confidence, and creativity—laying a strong foundation for

lifelong learning.

" Ignite Curiosity, Explore and Learn "


In Binding Block, children learn English, Tamil, Maths, Science, Social, computer and Hindi. Language is the primary basis of all communication.

We help the children acquire all the language skills like Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing through various activities. The goal is to create an immersive, interactive environment for language practice and improvement.

Other than text we emphasize on Story Writing, Comprehension Letter writing, Picture Composition, Hints Development, Dialogue Writing, Autobiography, Listening Comprehension, Supplementary Reader, Framing Sentences, Finding the Meaning of the given words from the dictionary.

 Grammar: In Binding Block, children are thorough with Parts of Speech, Tense form, Voices and Speech. Children learn to construct different sentence types, write cohesive paragraphs and understand basic writing conventions.

" Concentrate. Comprehend. Conquer "


Concrete Block, students are engaged in a wide range of activities that enhance both learning and creativity. Students are exposed to ten subjects - English, Tamil, Hindi, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, and Computer Science.
  Smart classrooms are utilized effectively, making learning more interactive. Extension and educational videos are shown to bring awareness among students. We also use interactive boards where students listen to passages and answer questions, improving their comprehension
and listening skills.
  Students are given opportunities to work in well-equipped laboratories for different subjects, where they perform hands-on experiments to gain practical knowledge through real experiences.
  MindSpark classes for English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, enable students to apply the concepts they learn in class. Various activities such as Topic Talk, Turncoat, and Debates are organized to enhance their oratory and communication skills. Students also take part in story-writing sessions to strengthen their creative expression. They are encouraged to
visit the library, where they can explore a wide range of books to enhance their language and knowledge.
  Examinations are conducted regularly to assess the students’ performance. They also participatein various clubs and committees that help broaden their knowledge and develop teamwork and leadership qualities. Along with academics, students gain valuable experience through extracurricular activities, which they choose based on their interests. These activities help them discover and express their unique talents. Extracurricular options include keyboard, guitar, Bharatanatyam, Carnatic music, art and craft, embroidery, karate, silambam, and chess. We have a friendly and supportive teaching environment, where teachers guide students in every possible way. They correct, motivate, and encourage them to overcome challenges and

achieve their goals with confidence.

" Explore, Experiment and Excel "


I, Mrs.G. Rajalakshmi, the co-ordinator of Towering Block, am very happy to introduce Towering block consist of classes IX and X (ICSE)

In Std IX, we have nine subjects. Apart from the regular subjects, we prepare the students for Olympiad exams. The students are taken to Physics, Chemistry, Biology labs every week to have hands on experience. We also take the students to Computer, Maths and Geography labs. The students go to library every week to enrich their knowledge and strengthen their language. They also have games periods, twice a week, to play basketball, football, badminton, throw ball etc.

We have many committees and clubs where students are exposed to various activities. Students of Std IX, being the members of Interact Club and Council Body, they conduct various festivals grandly to the delight of their fellow students.

We conduct ‘Inspire’ programmer, bringing resource persons from various fields to interact with the students and make them aware of the resources available in selection of colleges and career.

Every year, students are taken on excursion to various places in India to have an exposure to the outside world.

We also provide healthy lunch to our students at school. As there are only 20 students in a class, we, the teachers keenly monitor the discipline of each and every child and we come to know the problems of every child.

In this ‘Golden Jubilee year’ students of IX and XI conducted the ‘Carnival’, at a massive scale. Many stalls were put up by the students and the profit from the sale were given for charity.

Sports day and Annual days are conducted every year, where the students are given a chance to exhibit their talents.

Regarding X Std, we prepare the students for board exam from the third term of IX std.

The portions and projects are completed by the month of October and students are trained thoroughly by attempting four revision examinations. Every year we produce centum results in all the subjects and we have clinched the first place consecutively twice.

Students participate in all the interschool competitions in art, literature and sports and being laurels to the school.

VMJ is one of the best schools in Madurai, in nurturing the students in a proper channel and making him a successful in all spheres of his life.

" Concentrate Understand Practice"


We offer a range of subjects both in Science and commerce streams.

In Science stream, out of the core subjects Mathematics, Elective English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer Science, students can opt for any 4 subjects of their interest besides English.

In Commerce group Accounts, Commerce, Economics, Elective English, Mathematics, Business Studies and Elective English are the core subjects. Students should choose 4 subjects of their interest from the above mentioned besides English.

By aligning students' subject interests with their career aspirations, we prepare them for the ISC Curriculum Board Examination.

Our XI std. students have taken on various leadership roles, including School Pupil Leader,  Captains of all Houses, Interact members and School Council Body members. They are actively participating in various activities, developing their skills and setting great examples for their peers and juniors.

We conduct Inspire Programmes, aimed at motivating and guiding our students. These Programmes have provided valuable insights and exposure to Practical applications and Career opportunities. 

Our students have proudly represented our institution at various inter-school competitions, showcasing their talents and bringing home numerous awards and accolades.

Our students are actively engaged in various cocurricular activities which have helped them develop their skills, creativity and teamwork spirit.

XI and XII std students have been taken on educational tours to provide them with real-world exposure. These tours are a great way to broaden their horizons, making learning more engaging and enjoyable.

Our students are shining bright in our School Annual Day Programme and Sports Day Programme. 

XI std students along with IX std students have made Carnival '25 a grand success, fitting for our school's Golden Jubilee Celebrations.

Exam Preparation for XII std: We are conducting Four Revision Examinations to assess and improve students' understanding. 

Model Practical Examinations is to be conducted to familiarize students with the exam format. This will definitely help our XII std students feel more confident and prepared for their Board Exams.

Our teachers have played a pivotal role in guiding and nurturing our student's talents.  Their dedication and expertise have helped students discover their hidden strength and build confidence.

The combined efforts of teachers, parents and students have resulted in remarkable improvement in performance and confidence levels. 

It is truly rewarding to witness our students grow not only as scholars but as responsible and compassionate individuals, being ready to face real-world challenges.

Technology plays a transformative role in today's education system. It enhances teaching, supports learning, and prepares students for a rapidly evolving digital world. With smart classrooms, computer labs, and online learning platforms, lessons become more interactive, engaging and effective.

Our school is well-equipped to meet these digital demands. We have three fully equipped computer labs with high-speed internet for Classes 3 and above, and one basic lab for Classes 1 and 2. Students learn to code, debug, and think critically while solving programs. 

The labs also serve as platforms for Mindspark learning and Ei Cares' online Detailed Assessment tests. We also strengthen communication through Skoolbeep-connecting parents, teachers, and the management, and enrich classroom teaching with six smart rooms.

As the Technical Coordinator, my role is to support students and teachers in all technical aspects. I am happy to see our students grow confidently and responsibly while using digital platforms.
